For the last year or so, RUG has been writing some new material that we are really excited about, and we are ready to get into the studio so that we can share this music wity YOU!

But we’ve hit one small roadblock. We’ve turned out our pockets and put some money together, but are a little short. Time in the studio, hiring engineers and printing an album isn’t cheap, so we’ve decided to start a Kickstarter fundraising campaign.

In a couple of days, we would like to post a link to our Kickstarter page that will show you exactly what Kickstarter and this campaign is all about. To make it easy, there will be a video that you can watch that will explain everything!

We really can’t thank you enough for all of the support that you have show us so far, and hope that you’ll continue to help us reach our goals in any way that you can – every little bit helps! Even if you can’t donate, you can help by forwarding this link to some other friends, sharing our video on Facebook, Tweeting to all of your followers or simply mentioning RUG and our fundraising campaign to ANYONE that you think might be interested.

Again, a HUGE thank you for all of your support!!

Cheers,

It’s Tuesday afternoon, and we’re still coming down from the high of Saturday night’s show at House of Blues. Boy, could we sure get used to that. We were greeted outside of the gate by HOB employees who insisted on helping us with our gear. Not necessary, but appreciated. Once we were settled backstage, we were given passes and encouraged to head upstairs to check out our digs for the night, a proper green room with free food, drinks and a case of beer. Not bad.

We hit the stage a few minutes before 9PM, and set up quickly and without trouble. The sound onstage was great, and, judging by the crowd reaction, it was just as good in the house. As we started our set, the famous HOB curtain opened up and C.L. rolled into our opening tune, “Leave It Up to Science,” as the house lights swelled from pitch black to a warm ambient glow. It was clear immediately that we had a pretty full house.

We finished our set about 35 minutes later to a healthy applause from 800 or so music lovers as the curtains closed on us. We left the stage and made our rounds, thanking everyone that had come out. We sold a few t-shirts and met a few new RUG fans. It’s going to be a little harder to play smaller clubs and bars after such a great experience, but things are moving forward. Hopefully you’ll be seeing us at more HOB locations around the country soon enough.

A HUGE thank you to our new friends in Plain Jane Automobile and SMB Project for a great night of music, and to everyone that came out on Saturday night. Your continued support means everything! Check us out at one of our other performances this month:

Sept 20th; The Mai Tai Bar – Daytona, Fl

Sept 21st; Firestone Tastes and Sounds of Downtown – Orlando, Fl

Cheers,

Last night’s show started a little earlier than most. RUG hit the stage at 9PM. This is, by the standards of most other shows, quite early. We are accustomed to a show time of 11PM or later, so it was quite nice to play a little earlier. The Social was nearly sold out, and the audience was attentive and enthusiastic – an added bonus. We played 3 or 4 new songs, and the reception was great. Our music is starting to take an interesting turn, and we are thrilled to hear that both our friends and new listeners really seem to like what we are doing.

A quick thank you to Sarah Conness and Asa from The Social for a smooth show. We are grateful to have friends that continue to support us – THANK YOU to EVERYONE that came out last night. We have some BIG news to announce later today, and are thrilled to share it with you!

Cheers,
